About IrisJones
About Me
I was born in Germany and raised on the island of SYLT located in the North Sea, close to Denmark. There I met my husband who was stationed on the island with the United States Coast Guard. We met in 1979 and got married that same year. I have lived in America since 1980. For the first 15 years in San Francisco, and since 1995 in Michigan's "northern lower peninsula", directly on Lake Michigan. I love to cook and bake. My cookies are famous among my friends. I am the innkeeper at our small resort in Northern Michigan. It keeps me very busy between April and November.
About My Family
My husband and I are the parents of twin boys. The boys are very creative and have both competed for several years in Odyssey of the Mind, achieving world champion level at "Worlds" in Boulder Colorado in 2005. We are looking forward to the boys' high school graduation this coming May and are looking forward to their new adventures this fall. We are a strategy-game playing kind of family.
My Favorite Disney Parks Memory
When the boys were 5 years old, Tigger came up behind them and started teasing them. One of the boys chased after Tigger and an impromptu game of hide and seek ensued. Through the Emporium and around to the Chapeau. It was great fun.
My Favorite Disney Parks Attraction
I cannot say. There are so many favorites. How about I list at least one in each park? MK - Splash Mountain EP - Soarin' HS - Star Tours AK - A Bugs Life But there are still so many more
My Favorite Disney Parks Resort Hotel
Port Orleans Riverside Resort. I love it for it's lush landscaping, the amenities, the boat to Downtown Disney.
Number of times I’ve been to Disney Parks
