Found frequently in jeans, t-shirt, and flip-flops planning my next adventure to Disney World. I am wife to a fabulous husband, mom to a teen and a tween. The naysayers say that you outgrow the magic, but fortunately that hasn't happened to me (or my kids!) I love to travel to Disney Destinations because once I have arrived, the rest of the world seems to fall away.

About My Family

My husband had never been to Walt Disney World when we met. I'm still jealous that he's been to Disneyland and I haven't! We started taking trips to Disney about a year after we got married and he was sold. Our kids have been going to DIsney since they were very small. It's been fun to watch them grow and see how their park favorites have changed as they've aged.

My Favorite Disney Parks Memory

My current favorite is from October of 2010. We attended Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and a friend of ours who is a Cast Member joined us. My daughter was afraid to ride Space Mountain. My husband, son, and our friend went to ride it and I took her to get her face painted (which of course turned into both of us getting our faces painted!) When we met them outside the ride my son started trying to convince her to ride Space Mountain. To our utter shock she agreed to try it with my son and our friend. She loved it. The look of sheer joy that was on her face was incredible. I was so proud of her and happy that she was going to take some more risks. Now we can't keep her off the bigger rides!

My Favorite Disney Parks Attraction

I'm not sure if this qualifies as an "attraction" but my favorite thing is the WIshes Fireworks Spectacular. I cry every single time. The story, music, and lyrics always touch my heart and the fireworks are truly amazing. For the longest time my kids didn't like to be in the parks for the fireworks (too loud,) so I would always go back to the park by myself to watch them. I love that everyone will stay in the park with me now!

My Favorite Disney Parks Resort Hotel

My favorite hotel is the Yacht Club. I stayed there with a group of my girlfriends not long after it opened and I was sold. We have been back to stay several times and have never been disappointed. I love the decor, the location, and the pool is beyond compare! We have stayed at many of the Disney resorts but keep coming back to the Yacht Club.
