    • Why visit: I love the quick interaction on Twitter.....One thing I really enjoy is hearing about news as it's happening before it's even being reported on television. When I felt what I thought was an earthquake, I was on Twitter at the time and was able to confirm with others.

About AFrugalFriend

About Me

I'm Debra. I'm a stay at home mom in Dallas/Ft Worth who is known to stay up until 4am to finish a great book. I'm a scrapbooker, an organizer, a cupcake connoisseur, and an avid traveler (from Disney World to the other side of the world....Asia). You'll find me blogging at AFrugalFriend.net

About My Family

My husband and I met in our 30's, and I wasted no time making sure he loved all things Disney as much as I did growing up. We spent our first anniversary at WDW, learning first hand just how magical it can be without children. Our daughter is 4 years old and loves everything from ballet to dinosaurs. Her favorite Disney characters are Mickey and Belle, and at only 4 yrs old, she's traveled to Disney Parks 4 times.

My Favorite Disney Parks Memory

In 2011, my daughter and I attended the My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party at the Grand Floridian Hotel. It was a Mommy/Daughter event, and worth every penny. Seeing her smile as she danced with Sleeping Beauty around the room, and enjoy being a "big girl" while sipping juice from a fancy tea cup. Of course, the girls were all treated as princesses, and I think I took 200 pictures. It's one day I'll never forget.

My Favorite Disney Parks Attraction

My favorite must-see attraction at Disney World's Magic Kingdom is Mickey's PhilharMagic! The 3D show has me smiling throughout, following Donald throughout "Disney Movies" to catch the Sorcerer's Hat. With the music and 3D effects, this one is pure Disney magic....and one I get back in line for each time.

My Favorite Disney Parks Resort Hotel

I love to stay at a different Disney Resort each time, as they all offer something completely different. But, if I have to pick just one it would have to be the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. It's Disney World's Flagship resort for a reason. The service is impeccable and the attention to detail for the guest is top notch. The Cast Member handed our daughter a balloon and offered us a step stool for her right away. The dining options run from child friendly 1900 Park Fare character meals to romantic dinners at Victoria and Albert's. Of course, I like to enjoy the Afternoon Tea in the Garden View Tea Room too. The decor is so beautiful, along with many breathtaking views. I've stayed there twice, and would love to go back again!
